Durchstichwehr Quitzöbel

The Wasserstraßen-Neubauamt Magdeburg is planning to improve ecological continuity for aquatic organisms migrating both upstream and downstream as part of the replacement construction of the Quitzöbel weir. Together with the Neuwerben, Altarmwehr and Gnevsdorfer Wehr weirs, it forms the Quitzöbel weir group.

With the earlier lignite phase-out in Germany, coal production in the Hambach opencast mine will cease at the end of this decade. The subsequent use of the opencast mine by filling it as an opencast mining lake will begin in 2030.

The culvert weir in Quitzöbel has been undergoing major repairs since 2019. The planning for this is being carried out using state-of-the-art BIM technology on 3D models.

Talsperre Zeulenroda

The Zeulenroda dam in Thuringia was built between 1968 and 1975. The approx. 35 metre high rockfill dam with an inclined clay lining dams the Weida. The structure is now due for renovation.

Dortmund Ems Kanal Schleuse Gleesen

Together with partners, Tractebel Hydroprojekt is planning the replacement of five locks on the northern section of the Dortmund-Ems Canal. The new Gleesen lock is scheduled to be commissioned at the end of 2023. On the basis of the implementation planning, the construction services of the construction contract "Preliminary works Venhaus" were completed.

Einweihung Talsperre Malter

The Malter Dam is of great importance for flood protection in Saxony, especially that of Freital and the state capital Dresden. During the extreme flood of 2002, there was a signifi cant overload, which is why work began on extending the flood spillway in 2019.

The "Henschleben protective dam" and the "secondary dam", which separates flood retention areas 1 and 2 of the Straußfurt flood retention basin (HRB), are part of the construction measures. Tractebel Hydroprojekt was commissioned in 2021 by the operator of this dam, Thüringer Fernwasserversorgung, with the planning services for deficit elimination.
