In mid-May 2021, Tractebel Hydroprojekt was commissioned by Stadtwerke München (SWM) to carry out the detailed design and tendering for the construction of the new Großhesselohe weir on the Isar River south of Munich. For the construction phase, Tractebel Hydroprojekt was also commissioned with the local construction supervision.

Due to the changed conditions on the energy market, pumped storage power plants are of particular importance with regard to the storage of renewable energy, e.g. from wind energy or overarching grid regulation. Accordingly, Europe-wide investigations have been carried out in recent years to expand these capacities.

The planning task of Tractebel Hydroprojekt GmbH within the engineering community "HBL" with the office Böger & Jäckle from Rendsburg, which began in 2017, will be continued from April 2021 after a successful conclusion of a contract with the Waterways New Construction Office Magdeburg.

The Free State of Bavaria, represented by the Water Management Office of Munich, is planning the construction of a fish hiking aid in the form of a technical slot pass (target fish species grayling) at the outlet of the Schleifermoosach from the Herrenmoosach in the center of the city of Freising. Already in 2017, the approval for the approximately 35 m long fish hiking aid was granted.

Lutherstadt Wittenberg envisages a municipal flood protection system in the outlying centre of Kleinwittenberg in order to close an existing gap in flood protection on the Elbe. At the same time, the flood protection system secures the residential area "Am Stadthafen" planned in this section and replaces a listed quay wall that is no longer permanently stable.

After twelve years of project duration, the New Kattwyk Railway Bridge, one of the most important infrastructure projects of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), was opened to rail traffic on 14 December 2020.
