The "Henschleben protective dam" and the "secondary dam", which separates flood retention areas 1 and 2 of the Straußfurt flood retention basin (HRB), are part of the construction measures. Tractebel Hydroprojekt was commissioned in 2021 by the operator of this dam, Thüringer Fernwasserversorgung, with the planning services for deficit elimination.

The contract for the planning services for the extension of the Wesel-Datteln Canal (WDK) was signed in mid-July 2023. Together with our long-standing planning partners, we are thus giving the go-ahead for the project and structural planning for the development of the approximately 40 km long canal section from the Rhine to Marl (km 0 to km 40).

The applications for approval for the measures to renovate the Kainzmühl dam, which was built in 1924 and rebuilt in 1955 and is part of the Pfreimd power plant group in the Upper Palatinate, have been submitted. Thanks to the use of modern calculation methods, it was possible to dispense with some costly investigations during the planning phase.

At the end of March 2023, an important milestone in the construction work at the Horkheim weir was reached with the installation of the weir gate and the weir footbridge. The weir gate (rolling gate) was transported by vehicle from the factory in Poland and transferred to a storage pontoon and installed using the 300-ton floating crane HEBO.

As part of the IBA Thuringia, a concept for the future of agriculture was designed using the example of Kannawurf, a community in the Thuringian Basin, which considers ecological, economic and socio-cultural strategies together.

Towards the end of 2020, the Wilhelmshaven THP EDI bidding consortium, consisting of Tractebel Hydroprojekt GmbH and eberhardt - die ingenieure GbR, was awarded the contract for the planning of the new sliding gates of the Wilhelmshaven large sea lock following a Europe-wide tender by the Hanover Waterways Authority.

After the implementation of the complex of measures (MK) I for flood protection of the city of Eisenach on the Hörsel in the years 2015 to 2019, the work on MK II began in December 2020, which is to be completed in 2023 according to the construction contract. In November 2021, the state of Baden-Württemberg, represented by the Landesbetrieb Gewässer im Regierungspräsidium Karlsruhe, submitted the application for planning approval for the rehabilitation of the Oberfüllbruch retention area to the city of Karlsruhe.

In 2016, the Landesbetrieb für Hochwasserschutz und Wasserwirtschaft Sachsen-Anhalt (LHW) commissioned Tractebel Hydroprojekt GmbH (THP) with the planning for the rehabilitation of the Salsitz dike in Zeitz. The construction measures were completed in summer 2021 and the new flood protection facilities were handed over to the LHW.
