The task of ecological construction supervision is to monitor compliance with the statutory provisions of the Federal Nature Conservation Act as well as the species protection concerns and the provisions in the landscape conservation accompanying plan. Furthermore, planning services under nature protection law, the monitoring of the landscape management implementation planning as well as the application, organization and implementation of the fishing during the construction phase are part of the contract. Essential requirements of ecological construction supervision are listed in the leaflet DWA M 619 - Ecological construction supervision for water maintenance and expansion. Ecological construction supervision must be carried out by specialists with knowledge of regional species. It is intended to be part of the individual performance phases of the engineer planning from the permit planning on.
